The Pine Summit Railroad has been dissolved... assets have been assumed by the OPLA Railroad who, hopefully, will be starting a new short line railroad in the South Williamsport area.
Thanks to all of you who have supported me with your enthusiasm and ideas. If a life's success is measured by friends you've made through your endeavors, the Pine Summit Railroad has made me very blessed indeed. Thanks to all of you :-)
If you would like to see pics of the layout as it was disassembled please click here
The Pine Summit O gauge Railroad located near Muncy, Pennsylvania. It is approximately 14' x 21' and represents a cross section of rural American life in the 1950's.There are four main areas on the layout including a carnival with fireworks, a farm, a town and an industrial area showcasing Lionel accessories. Many individual vignettes are highlighted with sound clips or visual animations. Each year we enjoy visits from friends and family, especially around Christmas when we entertain approximately 150 visitors.
We are also the home of "The Polar Express Magic Mountain Disappearing Train Layout" where a 10' headed for the North Pole train disappears into a 3 1/2' tunnel. VERY cool!
